I’m pretty sure that there are dust bunnies having babies under the table in our front room. No… Really…. One day there’s nothing and then the next day you find fifteen! Where do they come from!?!?
At one time I was a big fan of my Swiffer. I loved removing that scuzzy cleaning pad and tossing away the dirt. Unfortunately, those cleaning pads were starting to get a little pricey for us to use to defend ourselves against the ever-growing number of dust bunnies! I tried using a regular broom, but it seemed to leave behind little bunny-ettes. I even tried attaching a rag to my Swiffer sweeper. I got mediocre results with that.
I also tried using my Clorox Wet Jet mop. That seemed to conquer the dust bunnies, but I didn’t like the expense of having to buy their replacement pads and bottles of cleaner. I have plenty of cleaners under my sink, and I paid pennies for them!
I was thrilled when Rubbermaid contacted me to ask if I’d like to try their new Reveal Spray Mop. The Reveal mop kit includes a sturdy mop, a microfiber cleaning pad, and a refillable mix-your-own-cleaner bottle. The microfiber cleaning pad is the perfect alternative to those expensive replacement pads offered by the other brands. The Rubbermaid microfiber cleaning pad is durable and can be washed and reused up to 100 times. We’re in for a LOT of mopping before it needs to be replaced!
I think my favorite part of this kit is the choose-your-own-cleaning-solution option. The kit comes with a refillable bottle. All you have to do is fill the bottle with water up to the fill line marked water. Then you add your favorite cleaner up to the line marked cleaner. The mix you get is the traditional mixture ratio we all use in our buckets. You can purchase additional bottles if you want to be able to keep two different cleaning mixtures handy. Or you could use plain hot water minus any cleaner for a quick mop.

Last night I tried the Reveal mop without any cleaning solution. I wanted to see how it stacked up against my Swiffer dry mop for those gotta-get-a-dust-bunny moments. It did a great job grabbing the bunnies even without cleaner!

I liked this tip from the Rubbermaid Adventures in Organization blog:
Designate one fancy hanger as “Tomorrow’s Outfit.” Plan your ensemble the night before and hang it together so you know you’re coordinated – even if you’re also late!
I like to use borax, castille soap and vinegar to clean the bathroom areas

Once could stay on Rubbermaids site for hours!! There is so much to learn, but I really like the idea that they have incorporated a reusable spray container that I can make my own eco-friendly cleaning solutions, and that I don’t have to purchase a special spray bottle each time. Much more eco friendly. I also like the idea of their microfibre pads that can be washed over 100 times, and thereby reused!
Thank you for hosting this terrific giveaway.

I’d love to have this mop to use on my very elderly vinyl kitchen floor that never really seems to get completely clean with anything else

I definitely have dust bunnies!! It seems like the kitchen collects cereal bunnies also
I don’t know how the cereal ends up in various corners of the kitchen, but it always does…

“Recycling does require a degree of attention to detail on the part of the recycler. And cleanliness does count—rinsing your cans makes them easier to process, which keeps costs down (and also effectively neutralizes the smell factor in your kitchen).” *Thanks* for the giveaway!

I am a cleaning phenatic though.
I vacuum and dust daily!
This mop looks great!!!! =)
A friend of mine recently told me about using old sock spray with Endust in lieu of the expensive refill sheets of Swiffer. Works great. Just make sure to let the Endust dry up a little before mopping.

we too have dust bunnies a long with fur bunnies from our two cats. we try to clean the floors every 2-3 days but at time it gets hard with the mop and bucket. This would be much easier!
I really like the Idea File vs. tons of magazine clutter. This is so me. I always say I’m going to go back and then yeas late I have all of these magaznes taking up space. Good grief.
Oh gosh, I have dust bunnies. I have 90% hard floors in my home and I could sweep 5x a day. Oh and add pets and kids and a hubby who won’t take his shoes off. Ahh! I need this.

What a cool blog! I like the idea saver binder. I’m guilty of hoarding tons of dog-eared pages of magazines and eventually my husband gets tired of looking at them and chucks them! Eeek! I’m starting mine tonight!

I love the rubbermaid page – I like what she did with her office. Using filefolders and labels to organizing what needs processing & posting is a very good idea. I need something like that in my 4′x3′ office! LOL
I will most definitely be back!

Hi – I would love the new Rubbermaid Mop! I really like the fact you can wash the mop part and not throw away those sheets everytime you use it.
And by the way, I have dust pets in my house – they are NOT bunnies! They’re trained to attack creepy guys breaking into my apartment!
Tina “The Book Lady”
oooooooooooohhhhhhh. I definitely would love this. We have fuzzies in the house so I normally use a vinegar solution to clean and am hesitant to use products like the wetjet.

I really hope I win. I need a new mop desperately!
From the blog, I like the “stairway system” – not every system needs to cost money or look pretty, sometimes it just needs to function.
