CVS Trip: The Great Puffs Stock-Up

This week was a great time to stock up on tissues for cold season!  You know it’s been my mission to not get stuck paying full-price for cold care this year. Here’s what I ended up with on my first CVS run this week.

Starting ECBs: $3.00 + $11.50 Quarterly ECBs
Merchandise Value: $25.07
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $3.32 plus tax
ECBs Earned:  $7.99
Savings: $21.75 (87%)

Bought:
4 Candy Bars @ $.50 – $2.00
2 Candy Bars @ $.79 – $1.58
11 Puffs Tissues @ $1.00 – $11.00
2 Throat Cooler Pops @ $1.25 (clearance) – $2.50
1 Renu Sensitive – $7.99

Coupons Used:
-$5.00 off $25.00 purchase CVS coupon received via email
-$.50 off x 3 B1G1 Snickers, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way or Twix Bar 9/26/2010 RP Insert
-$0.25/3 x 3 Puffs 9/26/2010 P&G Insert
-$14.50 ECBs from last week and quarterly rewards

Out-of-Pocket Cost: $3.32 plus tax

ECBs Earned:  $7.99 (Renu)

I’m not sure why the candy bars didn’t ring up with the Buy 2 – Get 1 FREE sale. I may stop back in with my receipt to find out. I may have bought the wrong brands.

I’m thinking about going back tomorrow to pick up some other P&G items. If I spend another $14 on participating P&G products, I’ll get $10 back. With coupons I might break even!
