Sharing Savings – 8/28 Edition

I made all of ONE shopping trip this week. I stopped at CVS on my way home from work on Friday.  That’s it for me! You can read about that trip HERE. I was able to save 98% at CVS despite forgetting my Coupon Clutch at home by using just printable coupons.  I figured the easiest way to save money was to stay home!

Your turn…

Here is your chance to share the best deals you personally found this week! You can include drugstore, grocery store, or online finds. Pictures are helpful but not necessary. The same goes for coupons. If you can add information on which coupons you used, that will help your fellow bargain-hunters. But it’s not necessary.

I only made two stops this week, a $2.96 stop at Target and a FREE stop at CVS! Now that’s pretty easy on the budget, eh?

Sharing Savings – 8/14 Edition

I only shopped on Friday this week… Nothing like leaving it for the last minute, eh?  I made one stop at CVS to take care of my sparkly roots and one stop to hit the sales at Kroger.

Sharing Savings – 8/7 Edition

I didn’t do too much shopping this week. We made a run to Target last Saturday and got $93.55 worth of groceries for $35.26. I was pretty pleased with that! Other than that, we spent WAY too much at Walmart due to me leaving my coupons at home. But we won’t even talk about that one…. Just call it a learning experience. We also made a quick stop at CVS for free drinks and Kroger (no picture!) for some fresh produce and milk. Since we’re still eating the meals we made during our Two-Week Cooking Project, we didn’t really need much grocery-wise.

Sharing Savings – 7/31 Edition

I did a decent amount shopping this week. Here’s a quick recap of my trips.

I did the Crayola catalina deal at Kroger, and ended up with almost-free bath tissue and blueberries. I love using catalinas to get things we need! I also have some crayons to donate to worthy causes.

I also did my shopping for the Two-Week Cooking Project. (If you’re new to this idea, it’s like once-a-month-cooking but on a slightly smaller – and less intimidating - scale. It’s not too late to join us! You can catch up on all the posts over HERE.)  I ended up spending just over $90 at Kroger for two weeks’ worth of meals and some other great sale items.

My other Kroger stop was last Sunday. I got free Crest toothpaste and $10 worth of catalinas.

I only went to CVS once this week, and I only bought one item. The good news is that I gained $1.99 in ECBs with $0 spending out-of-pocket. I guess that makes it a good CVS week, right?

Sharing Savings – 7/24 Edition

I did a lot more shopping than usual this week.  Here’s a quick recap of my trips.

I made two CVS stops this week. On my first CVS trip, I  spent $3.88 and saved $21.98 (85%). On my second CVS trip I spent $3.96 and saved $20.00 (83%).  I only need to scan my little shopping bag tag one more time to get my $1.00 ECB. I have to remember to start taking that with me!!

I made a lunch hour stop at Walmart. I don’t usually shop there, but I had heard that they had the Finish automatic dishwasher starter kits on sale. I ended up spending $9.35 for $26.35 worth of merchandise. I also got to use up some coupons that would have expired soon.

We had done a pretty good sized restocking trip at Kroger last Saturday. We spent $74.06 and saved $106.78. Be sure to check out my clearance razor find and how I ended up with SIX jars of yeast for $.89 each! I made a quick run through Kroger at lunchtime yesterday, mainly to take advantage of the 10 Item Mega Event. Yesterday I was able to save 63% using just printable coupons!
